Rev. Barbara L. Harris, a retired elementary teacher and retired pastor of 34 years, continues her ministry in Christian Education.

Her background in education has imparted to her many community positions as she served the flocks in the church, especially in Christian Education, such as Board member of Dept. of Minority Affairs at Indiana University; Director and CEO of Fairview United Methodist Church After-school Program in Bloomington, IN ; President & Vice-president of Christian Ministries of Delaware County; and Advisor Board of Community Schools.

She is a member of the AME Women in Ministry and South District Christian Education Coordinator of the Indiana Conference. She is the mother of three children, and 8 grandchildren.

Her Vision to increase and do ministries in a more excellent way is the purpose for what we do to implement the church theme “Growth for God’s Church.” Her spontaneity to the “outside the box” ways keeps the church involved and always alive with the Holy spirit in the forefront. As she serves, she continues to spread one of focusing scriptures, “For we Walk by Faith, not by Sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
